Summit
In response to the call of our Holy Father from his encyclical, Laudato Si and in caring for our common home, the Student Catholic Action of the Philippines, celebrating its 80th year anniversary (Oak Celebration) and the Diocese of Tagbilaran in their 75th Diamond Jubilee Year of Foundation hope to partner for a mission in forming Christian Youth Leaders today towards sustainable development. For more than 30 years, the Student Catholic Action movement has been the recognized Campus Ministry arm of the Diocese of Tagbilaran forming countless leaders in various fields and passionate defenders of ME (Mother Earth)
More than a charming eco-friendly venue, Bohol shares a beautiful story with SCA Philippines in the Philippine Catholic Youth Ministry. Band together with Holy Father’s Call for Ecological Justice, the Diocese of Tagbilaran will be a fitting place where young people will be able to think, reflect and create earth actions. Two years after the 7.2 earthquake that shook Bohol, it would be great to listen and experience stories of resilience and lessons of disaster preparedness from its people.
Goal
To provide a meaningful educational ecological workshop experience wherein the participants is moved to care for God’s creation especially for the poor who are most vulnerable to climate change and for the coming human generation who will face the worst impacts in the coming years.
