16 HS students form first SCA Talibon Junior Secretariat

Talibon, Bohol - Sixteen (16) SCA high school leaders completed the Office Bearers Course conducted at St. Joseph Academy in Candijay, Bohol. The students were to become the first SCA Diocesan Junior Secretariat of the Diocese of Talibon since its establishment as another diocese in Bohol from Tagbilaran in 1995.

The SCA Diocesan Secretariat pools active and skilled student leaders who will aid in the mobilization of programs and campaigns of the movement at the diocesan level. These students will join the diocesan team of SCA composed by the director, coordinator and formators' circle. SCA Talibon presently has 28 active units and eight organizing units in seven chapters.

Mier Angeli Angeles from Holy Child Academy in Bien Unido was elected as the first Secretary-General of the secretariat. The other fifteen representatives came from San Miguel Technical Vocation School, St. Joseph Academy-Candijay, Saint Anthony's Academy-Carmen, St. Paul Academy-Inabanga, Inabanga High School, Holy Child Academy-Ubay, Dusita High School-Sierra Bullones, Sta. Monica Institute-Mabini, Cangawa National High School, and Pilar Technical Vocational High School

The former Secretary-General of SCA Tagbilaran Secretariat, now an SCA Animator, Leslie Anne Aceron from SAA, Inc., led the facilitating of course sessions.

Venus Escabas is the current SCA Coordinator of Talibon while Fr. Alvin Pobar serves as the SCA Diocesan Chaplain and Youth Director.
