NCC marks 11 fresh SCAP Resolutions

SCAns are always informed! While some SCA units are done with their eSCAPade or orientation activities and others are still excited to schedule inviting new members, it is an edge to know what is up in the movement this year! Every SCAn knows what is it to be part of a bigger voice for it can solidify the unit's formation and program from the grassroots to the national scene.

So, here are the 11 new SCAP Resolutions agreed by the National Coordinating Council last May 2017:

OPERATIONS MANUAL GOT REFRESHED AFTER ALMOST 10 YEARS!

(Resolution No. 2 Series of 2017 - A resolution amending the 2008 SCAP Operations Manual)

Oh, wait! There is an SCAP Operations Manual? Yes, there is! SCAP OM has been existing since it was first drafted in 2008 National Leadership Conference. The 54-page document contains guidelines on how SCA can operate from national to local levels. Some parts have been added, revised and deleted. You can view the old manual HERE and see revisions HERE. And, do you know that a major change is a refreshed Vision, Mission and Structure of SCAP? The OM will be available soon in a student-friendly edition!

MORE EXPOSURES AND IMMERSIONS!

( Resolution No. 3 Series of 2017 - A resolution to integrate exposure or immersion programs in the formation of SCA and to enjoin the National Formation Team to spearhead the design and guidelines thereof subject to approval of the NCC. )

Yay! There will be more time to engage with our advocacy with this kind of formation. This is currently taken care of the National Formation Team.

FORMATION REVOLUTION

(Resolution No. 4 Series of 2017 - A resolution for the National Formation Team to revisit the formation track of the High School and College members to review its developmental appropriateness and needs.)

New Evangelization at its height. Formation tracks will be more relevant, meaningful and Christ-centered. Unique activities will be set according to the needs of high school students and college students. And, yes, it will go well with junior and senior high! New modules and strategies will be rolling out soon.

BYE BYE TO MONOTONOUS PROCESS!

(Resolution No. 5 Series of 2017 - A resolution authorizing the National Formation Team to look into the formation entry process of High School SCAns to the College Units subject for study and review of the NCC or Conference.)

"Hey, I am an SCAn who graduated from High School and I wanted to continue SCA in college. Would I still take the same process of formation?" - makes sense? Don't worry, the National Formation Team will be clarifying this.

REVIVE SCA NORTHERN LUZON!

(Resolution No. 6 Series of 2017 - A resolution authorizing the SCAP National Secretariat to form a special group to help revive the northern Luzon cluster before the 2017 SCA National Leadership Conference.)

During the NCC meeting only Northern Luzon Cluster was not represented. But, good news! The national secretariat visited the Diocese of Baguio last June and two units are still alive! Let's help them revive! Coordination needs to be mended.

OFFICIAL SCA UNIT MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!

(Resolution No. 7 Series of 2017 - A resolution asking the National Secretariat to publish an official Membership Directory of Units by September 2017.)

Oh, every SCAn will have an opportunity to find new connections with member units all over the Philippines! Would that be great? Make sure your unit has contributed already its membership solidarity fee of Php 1,200 this year.

12th SCAP NLC IS RESCHEDULED

(Resolution No. 8 Series of 2017 - A resolution to conduct a 2017 SCAP National Leadership Conference in Gumaca, Quezon)

Remember the cancellation of the 12th National Leadership Conference last May? Now, the schedule is back. It will be on October 25 to 29, 2017. So, get ready official representatives!

BAHAY-SCAN NEEDS YOUR HELP

(Resolution No. 9 Series of 2017 - A resolution authorizing the National Secretariat to increase the schedule of fees of Bahay SCAn in consultation with the financial experts of the movement. )

Bahay-SCAn is the home of SCAP. A legacy given by our dear Teresita "Titatet" Nitorreda. It needs repairs and maintenance; therefore, you will understand why there is a need to increase contribution.

A PHP 1,200 UNIT CONTRIBUTION CREATES A DIFFERENCE!

(Resolution No. 10 Series of 2017 - A resolution mandating the National Secretariat to assertively collect the membership fees of the movement and for the NCC to actively assist in this endeavor.)

There are many ways to give, my dear SCAns. Your Unit's Php 1,200 contribution yearly can create an impact in our advocacy.

AIM FOR SENIOR HIGH!

(Resolution No. 11 Series of 2017 - A resolution for the National Formation Team to craft a formation program specifically designed for its Senior High School members.)

This is a more specified item from Resolution No. 4.

SENIOR HIGH CAN FORM ANOTHER UNIT FROM AN EXISTING UNIT!

(Resolution No. 12 Series of 2017 - A resolution recognizing the organization of SCAP Senior High School units.)

If you think your unit needs to do this, why not? What is important is that students can meet a common schedule together.
