SCAP National Secretariat, Tagaytay City - Last September 7, 2024, the SCAP National Secretariat had an online evaluation and reflection with the Organizing Team - Local Organizing Committee, the National Coordinating Council, and the NLC Volunteers - of the 14th SCAP National Leadership Conference. The session focused on the conference's evaluation, the volunteers' learnings, and everyone's commitment to action after the conference.
Growth and Learning
The entire journey from the Conference preparations, the Conference proper, and the Post Conference activities gave the entire Organizing Team a lot of venues for growth and learning in program management, event organizing, community relations, and many more. The Local Organizing Committee highlighted the support of Sister Narci Peñaredonda and Most Rev. Daniel O. Presto, Bishop of San Fernando of La Union, for their support and guidance throughout the Conference. The Organizing Team also recognized the guidance and help provided by the National Secretariat and the Volunteer Consultants in handling the challenges that came up all throughout the Conference. This experience highlighted the importance of the involvement and the journeying of Advisers, Animators, and Spiritual Directors in the journey of growth and development of the Student Leaders.
Appreciation and Motivation
Along with the powerful learnings and realizations of the Organizing Team was a very positive and high rating of the overall Conference experience. Being able to have a learning exchange with various communities, processing these experiences through a theological reflection, and enhancing skills and capabilities through parallel workshops allowed the delegates to have a very meaningful and practical planning for what is next after the conference. Seeing the impact that the efforts of the Organizing Team made for the delegates reaffirmed their motivation to continue serving the youth and serving the Church.
Continuing the Journey of Witnessing Faith
The session ended with the delegates creating a gesture of hope, embodying the dreams and hopes of everyone for SCA and for their communities. As everyone goes back to their respective units, a renewed commitment to serving and transforming the communities in Word and in Action is made.
The 14th National Leadership Conference Report along with the Conference Final Statement will be released in a few days.
