National Secretariat, Tagaytay City - The Student Catholic Action of the Philippines officially submitted a total of 164 delegates for the National Youth Day in the Archdiocese of Cebu which will be held on April 23 to 28, 2019. SCAP will be one of the largest groups to be represented in one of the largest gathering to date for this Year of the Youth celebration.
The Archdiocese of Cebu will host more than 10,000 youth from the different regions of the country. Participants will experience family immersions, community prayer encounters, plenaries and workshops reflecting on the NYD theme (which is also the World Youth Day 2019 Theme), "I am the servant of the Lord; May it be done to me according to Your Word."
This year's NYD will be extra special for the Church since it will be a path to the preparation of the Jubilee of 2021, the 5th Centenary of the Christianization of the Philippines. Cebu is the best place to revisit the history as the province enthrones the Senor Sto. Nino.
The 164 delegates of SCAP comprise the Arch/Dioceses of Cabanatuan, Tarlac, Manila, Cubao, Gumaca (Lopez Chapter), Bacolod, Cebu, Tagbilaran, Cagayan de Oro, Tandag and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Tagaytay.
